Bag Filters are used to remove excess loads on membrane filtration units. They are most commonly used as pre filtration units to UF, RO, Nano Membranes. They trap the fine silt, suspended particles, sand, carbon and other media particles that escape from filters. Bags of different micron rating can be connected in series to provided high quality effluent free of fine silt. Once the pressure drop exceeds the mark, the bag filters can be removed and washed, reused. They are comparatively cheaper to install and require zero maintenance.
