Definition Bulletproof glass (also Known as ballistic glass, transparent armour or bullet-resistant glass) is a type of strong but optically transparent material that is particularly resistant to being penetrated when struck by bullets, but like all known materials, is not completely impenetrable. How it works When a high speed projectile impacts bullet-resistant glass, it basically shatters through the outer layer of ordinary glass, after which it encounters the transparent plastic known as PVB.
