Rod Seals
Rod or Gland seals prevent fluid leakage from the past the rod and into the atmosphere. Rod Seals are one of the most critical devices in a hydraulic system and are necessary to ensure pressure is maintained in hydraulic circuit, maximum force can be held on the rod and that fluid is not escaping the system. In Heavy-Duty applications, a Rod Seal will be paired with a Buffer Seal. A buffer seal is housed in the gland, between the Rod Seal and the Piston and is used to prevent damage to the primary Rod Seal during instances of extreme pressure and pressure spikes. Modern Rod Seals are designed with a Secondary sealing lip on the inner dimension in addition to the Primary sealing lip. The purpose of the secondary lip is to trap a small pool of hydraulic fluid between the Primary and Secondary lip to help reduce friction on the rod and lubricate the Wiper's sealing lip on the extending stroke, thereby reducing wear on the seal. It also has the benefit of keeping the chromed rod lubricated and shielded from external contaminants which can cause corrosion when exposed to the atmosphere for extended periods of time. On the rod's return stroke, the secondary sealing slip aids in lubricating the Rod Seals primary sealing lip which can often come in contact with an excessively wiped rod due to the effect of the wiper seal removing all rod contaminants and preventing the ingress of foreign media.
...morePneumatic Seals
Pneumatic seals are often very similar in design to Hydraulic Seals. The sealing principles remain the same and both cylinder types operate under the same physical principles. The key difference between both applications is that Pneumatically operated cylinders are actuated using compressed air. Generally the air in the pneumatic system has been degreased, filtered and de-watered to remove contaminants which may cause corrosion to the cylinder as well as premature wear to the seals. Pneumatic Cylinders are preferred in applications where high-speed actuation of the cylinder rod is needed as well as in environments where extreme heat, open flames, and flammable gases may make the use of a hydraulic system with a mineral based fluid intolerable.

The Rotary Shaft Seal is used for excluding dirt, dust, water or other particles, while retaining lubricant in rotary shaft equipment. It was developed as a means of protecting bearings of rotating shafts. The area between the sealing edge and the shaft is most important. The sealing effect is achieved by preloading the sealing lip making its internal diameter slightly smaller than the shaft diameter. The garter spring ensures constant force to the shaft, flattening the sealing edge to a defined width. Oil seals prevent internal system fluids from leaking and keep external contamination from entering the system. Leakage and/ or contaminants paths occur between the shaft and the seal lip and between the seal and the housing. Oil seals need to seal both dynamically (on the shaft) and statically (on the outer diameter of the seal).

We offers a wide range of stack-able packing designs. Commonly called VEE Packing. The sets are made of top and bottom adapters with pressure VEE rings in the middle, each set consisting of a number of VEE rings and the pressure rating of these sets is driven by the total configuration of materials. These are very popular in sealing rods and pistons. They can be used for low or high pressure applications and with single or double acting cylinders.

OIL AND GAS SEALS
In oil and gas applications, reliability and safety are essential. Offshore platforms and onshore oil and gas extraction facilities often operate in remote locations where storage space is limited and application conditions are extreme. And because equipment failure can have dire consequences — jeopardizing costs, environmental safety and energy resources — these mission-critical operations require reliable engineered components that can withstand extreme temperatures, high pressures, corrosion and erosion over a long period of time.
...moreWiper Seals
Wiper seals are typically used in conjunction with other sealing elements. A wiper seals primary function is to provide a physical barrier to limit the ingress of moisture, dirt and other contaminants into the primary sealing system, preventing damage to hardware and seals. Wiper seals require a snap in fit into a rod groove locations and compliment a primary sealing solution.
...moresingle acting piston seals
A single-acting piston seal is designed for cylinders where pressure is applied from one side only. The piston in single-acting cylinders may have oil on the pressure side only, while the opposite side is open to atmosphere. Therefore, the piston seal must leave a minimum of oil film when passing along the cylinder bore since the transportation of oil otherwise would result in a leakage to the exterior. In single-acting cylinders, the open end may push air out and draw air in as the piston reciprocates. This air may carry moisture and contaminants into the cylinder, which can lead to seal damage. Vent filters may be fitted to the open side of the cylinder to reduce contaminants entering the inside of the cylinder. The cylinder bore may be hard chromium plated to prevent corrosion.
...moredouble acting piston seals
Piston seals are maintain sealing contact between the piston and the cylinder bore. Differential pressures acting on the piston to extend or retract the piston rod can be in excess of 400 bar (5 800 psi). The pressure acting on the piston seal increases contact forces between the piston seal and cylinder surface. Therefore, the surface properties of the sealing surfaces are critical to proper seal performance. Double-acting cylinders are the most widely used cylinder types. They operate with pressure on both sides and, therefore, require double-acting seal arrangements. Double-acting piston seals have a symmetrical profile (cross section) and identical sealing functions in both directions. Typically, double-acting piston seals consist of a slide ring and an energizer and an anti-extrusion ring. The deformation of the elastomeric energizer when installed provides adequate force to keep the slide ring in dynamic sealing contact with the cylinder bore, while sealing statically against the seal housing groove. A double-acting cylinder typically has the same fluid on both sides of the piston. Therefore, a relatively thick lubrication film can be permitted between the piston seal and the cylinder bore to minimize friction and wear. The transportation of fluid occurring during dynamic operation is, however, small and insignificant in most applications.
...moreRotary Seals
Rotary seals separate system pressures and media against the atmosphere under rotating movements of the opposing surface. There are two generic categories of rotary seals: high-pressure/low-velocity (rotor seals) and low-pressure/high-velocity (rotary shaft seals). We provides both symmetrical and unsymmetrical designs. Rotary seals also known as an oil seal, shaft seal, elastomeric lip seal or any variation of these. It is a simple device for excluding dirt, dust, water or any other contaminant whilst retaining lubricant in rotary shaft equipment. These seals have been developed as a means of protecting bearings of rotating shafts.
