It is this regenerative process that allows the side channel blower to function as both a pressure blower and a vacuum blower. How it works In a Bag house type filter dust collector system with automatic cleaning, individual filter bags are overlaid on a metal cage. The dirty air enters the Bag house and is forced through the filter bags after which the clean air exits. A timer signals a solenoid valve to start the cleaning when it detects a drop in performance due to build up on the filter or the cleaning cycle is run on a regular periodic basis. How It Works The major components of the Prime Series single phase vacuum cleaners are the motors, the filter and collection tank. Suction is provided by using carbon brush motors operated by independent switches and placed inside a plastic shock-proof casing which is resistant to chemicals and high temperatures and reduces the noise level. Depending on the model, there may be 1, 2 or 3 motors. Powerful Ametek vacuum motors with double insulation and independent cooling system are used. Only the hose and cleaning accessories need be carried to different locations for cleaning. UPVC or metal piping connects the inlets to the central unit. The dirtbag or collection bin in a central vacuum system is usually large enough that emptying or changing need not be done very often. The central unit usually stays on standby and is turned on automatically only when required. A centralized vacuum system typically produces greater suction than common portable vacuum cleaners because a larger blower and more powerful motor can be used when it is not a portable system. A cyclonic separation system does not lose suction as the collection container fills up until the container is almost full. Three Phase Centralized vacuum cleaners offer higher cleaning because unlike a standard vacuum cleaner, which must blow some of the dirt collected back into the room being cleaned (no matter how efficient its filtration), a central vacuum system removes all the dirt collected to the central unit. Since this central unit is usually located outside the main area, no dust is re-circulated back into the room being cleaned. Another benefit of a centralized vacuum system is because the blower unit is located in a remote location, there is much less noise in the room being cleaned than with a standard vacuum cleaner. Components Central vacuum systems are made up of seven major components: the vacuum producer, filtration system, container, discharge device, conveying/piping system, hose and other accessories and the control system. All the components must be designed to work specifically for your application. No two systems will be the same, so each must be engineered for your specific requirements. The Vacuum Producer - For most centralized vacuum systems, we use roots blowers. For certain applications, ring blowers or centrifugal blowers may be used. The Filtration System - Filtration systems may use bag filters or cartridge filters depending on the application. Depending on the quantity and type of dust, we usually provide a pulsejet online self-cleaning mechanism. Storage - If the material is to be continuously discharged back to the process, no internal storage is required. If the material is to be stored within the system, and batch discharged, a certain storage capacity is required. The Discharge Device - The discharge device predominantly used in our central vacuum systems are rotary airlock valves. The Piping Network - The piping must be designed optimally to ensure that the dust/material is conveyed to the filter without any hindrance. The Hose and Tools - Hose and tools must be lightweight, yet be of a robust, industrial duty design as required for the application. How it works Dynavac® Cartridge Dust Collectors use metal cartridges that are cylindrical shaped and are lined with a pleated non-woven fabric as the filter media. In cartridge dust collectors,similar to baghouse dust collectors, the dirty air is forced through the outside of the cartridge filter to the inside. Dust particles are captured on the outside of the cartridge filters. Cartridge dust collectors also use pulsejet cleaning technology. A periodic pulse of compressed air is sent across the cartridge to dislodge the dust cake, which forms on the outside of the cartridge filter. This is an online cleaning process. Cartridge dust collectors are ideally suited to capture material that is easily released from the media during the cleaning cycle. These are usually better suited for smaller dust particle sizes. Cartridge Dust Collectors are the ideal dust collection option for applications where dust is fine and for certain shapes of dust. When the dust is difficult to handle, a fabric filter dust collector is a better alternative for trouble free dust collection and longer filter life.The disadvantage of the cartridge dust collector is during the cleaning operation when it does not flex as much as a traditional fabric filter and consequently optimum filter efficiency will not be maintained if the cartridge filter does not get completely cleaned.The cartridge collector however has a much smaller footprint than traditional baghouse dust collectors. However they have a large filter area in proportion to their size. They are an excellent solution for locations where space is limited.
