at mud (delighted to call us so!!) we strive to promote the use of clay in all its forms, predominantly stoneware’s, for an enriched living. stoneware’s unlike earthenware’s are fired at high temperature (1300 degrees to 1400 degrees). this makes it non-porous, scratch resistant and doesn’t chip and crack easily. with stoneware’s withering with age is a slow process. call it a man made stone!!! hold one and be enamored by the solid colors and bright patterns…thanks to those hands on the conventional potter’s wheels which make the whole process a non-resource intensive one. the lead free glazing process makes stoneware’s safe to use and also micro-wave safe. from food to clothing and shelter, the spread of synthetics aided unwittingly by us has contributed to the degradation of our eco system. there is no denying the fact that synthetics too have its place in this planet, but certainly not into our biological system. we ask for your support in this endeavor of ours, though for the bread, is intended to do our bit to a sustainable living.
