Vacuum Carburizing Furnaces
Vacuum Carburizing
Vacuum CarburizingIn Vacuum Carburizing, repeatable carburizing results according to pre-programmed parameters, Uniform case depth across a loadOptimum, step-by-step process programming procedures separated into carburizing, diffusion and pre-cooling for hardening stages to obtain the required carbon content and hardness profiles depending on steel grade and carburized part geometryVacuum Carburizing has the capacity to process mixed parts with various packed densities and materialsUnique carburizing atmosphere, (patent pending), assuring uniform case depth over all surfaces (including hollows and recesses), clean load surface and elimination of by-products including tar and soot (no aromatic rings formation or polymerization)Elimination of intergranularinternal oxidation (which may occur during gas carburizing and vacuum carburizing in acetylene)Automatic control of carrier gas flow according to load size and process stageVacuum Carburizing records process parameters and heat treatment results Vacuum Carburizing is the preferred alternative to traditional carburizing methodsHigher process temperatures up to 1980°F (1080°C) resulting in faster diffusion stagesFlexibility in furnace operation including pre-programmed temperature changes that are required for pre-cooling in hardening or for pearlitizationAutomated furnace controlsBright and clean part surfacesNo carbon monoxide (CO) in effluent gasesFast start of cold furnace (no conditioning or activation required as is typical for vacuum furnaces); the furnace can be switched off for the weekendLow consumption of carburizing agent, permanent supply is not requiredNo heat or gas emissions to the surrounding environment; furnaces can be installed inline with other processing machines; no special fire-protection requirements for the working area or buildingCompact design requires less shop floor space Vacuum Carburizing with gas quenching eliminates many of the operational limitations of traditional oil quench systemsControl of cooling rate by changes of gas pressure and blower motor speedUniform cooling conditions; minimized and predictable distortion; especially important for new steel grades with improved hardenability where single chamber furnaces or modular systems can be usedAbility to quench HSLA, O2, 52100 and similar steel gradesClean and dry heat-treated loads; no quench fluid disposalSimple and safe procedures compared with oil quenching operations
...moreUmaxe - Neutral Salts Regenerator
Umaxe Regenerator is added to the Umaxe 660720830970 baths to avoid Decarburization by maintaining regular additions. It should be added when the bath is at the normal operating temperatures. It forms a layer on the bottom of the pot and this layer tends to become hotter than the salt. Care should therefore be taken while inserting the thermocouple end from dipping in to this layer.

...moreRetort Type Furnace
Applications of Retort Type Furnace :Optional equipment can be added permitting heat - and surface - treatment process employing a variety of atmosphere gases and temperatures. the retort design permits free alternation between process without interaction, that is to say, permits carburising-quenching, corbonitriding, gas soft nitriding and other processesFeatures : Conventional brick type furnace has the remarkable features as instructed but the retort type furnace has the additional splendid features as follows since the interior of the furnace is sealed completely by the heat resistant metal retort. Seasoning and drying processes are not required for Retort type furnaces. Retort type furnaces consumes less than one-third the atmosphere gas of conventional designs. Retort type furnaces permits full weekend shutdown. Retort type furnaces allows atmosphere gas to be changed quickly and easily without burnout process. Can function as a degreasing furnace in direct preparation for subsequent heat - or surface - treatment processes. Retort type furnaces has Improved temperature and atmosphere distribution. Retort type furnaces has option for Quench Tank with forced colling chamber.

Aluminum Homogenizing Furnace
With batch type design, typically an electrically-driven, insulated car is used to move a load into and out of the furnace. Often, a double-ended furnace (door at each end) is used with two cars so that turnaround time on the Aluminum Homogenizing furnace is reduced, thus maximizing production. The alternative to the car bottom design for the batch type units, is the tray design. With this design, the load tray rests on a series of support posts inside the furnace. A charge machinetransfer car is used for chargingdischarging of the tray and transferring the tray from the Aluminum Homogenizing furnace to a cooling station or to a loadunload station.A third type of batch unit is the traveling furnace. This type of Aluminum Homogenizing furnace utilizes a pair of fixed load bases to support the load. When the cycle is completed on base no. 1, the furnace moves into position over the second load base and immediately begins heating a new load. The previous load is allowed to cool and then unloaded and replaced with a new load. This can all be accomplished before the next homogenizing cycle is completed. A traveling furnace provides savings in floor space since the two load bases require significantly less floor space than a double ended stationery Aluminum Homogenizing furnace with two load cars.
