HITEC  Loss in Weight feed system  is to accurately weigh and control the output of variable products either, continuously or as a batch.  The loss-in-weight system is normally supplied with a standard hi-tech metering screw feeder either single or twin screw from 15 mm to 250 mm diameter and output range from 1.0kg/hr to, in excess of 30,000 kg/hr. The selection of the correct type of feeder from our extensive range is determined primarily by the type and specification of the material to be handled.   Accuracy: Optimum Loss In Weight measurement results are obtained where the product being handled has good linear volumetric feed:-from 0 to 100% of the required flow rate. In this situation, We expect ± 0.5% or better accuracy FlowRate: Providing the controller can measure the change in weight,very low flow rates can beachieved. Oil tank is provided at the end of the shaft assembly to give the proper lubrication to the gears. The Total Trough will vibrate with the help of the springs mounted with the base frame and Trough, due to the vibration produced the sand particle will move from its place and it will discharge through the discharge open.

Overview:   Loss in-Weigh Feeders operate on the principle of controlled loss-in-weight. The proposed system comprises of a Weigh Hopper, Loadcells, Screw Conveyor with motor and associated control electronics. The Weigh Hopper and Screw Conveyor are mounted on 3 Nos. of Loadcells. The Loadcells are connected to a controller through a junction box.The material from the storage hopper is fed to the weigh hopper, which is controlled by a gate. A small screw feeder is mounted below this weigh hopper. The weigh hopper and screw feeder are mounted on high precision Loadcells and the output of the Loadcells are summed in a junction box and fed as an analog input to the controller. The controller calculates the rate, compares with the set rate and feeds the corresponding 4-20mA signal to the VVVF drive so as to control the speed of the motor of the screw, thereby controlling the rate of discharge.
