In the medical set up, there exist a lot of bacteria and chemicals, these medical devices need to stay sterilized up to the point they are required.   The wraps are made by using designed layers that are made of SMS - spunbond/meltblown/spunbond layers of fabric. The three layers are bonded together thermally, with the “meltblown” providing the barrier and the strength of the wrap by the “spunbond.” The triple layer gives very great microbial contamination protection.    During manufacturing of the wraps, there are two processes that can be done. The sequential wrap process where two sheets of the wrap are bonded together one after the other. The other is non-sequential the two sheets are wrapped together at the same time. This process is preferred as the wraps offer multilayer protection for surgical items. The indicators are non-toxic and water based ink that exceed and meet the requirements of ISO standards.
