Automotive Pistons
The Automotive Pistons, that we offer, are casted from aluminum alloys. Automotive Pistons are the moving components that are contained by a cylinder, and are made gas-tight by piston rings. In an engine, purpose of Automotive Pistons is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft via a piston rod and/or connecting rod. To produce pistons that could survive engine combustion temperatures, it was necessary to develop new alloys, such as Y alloy and hiduminium, specifically for use as pistons. We offer the best quality Automotive Pistons in market. Piston Pin A Piston Pin is a machined high strength steel "tube" that goes thru the piston and connecting rod. The Gudgeon Pin (UK, wrist pin US) connects the Piston to the connecting rod and provides a bearing for the connecting rod to pivot upon as the piston moves. In very early engine designs (including those driven by steam and also many very large stationary or marine engines), the Gudgeon Pin is located in a sliding crosshead that connects to the Piston via a rod. automotive piston rings are split rings that fit into a groove on the outer diameter of a piston in a reciprocating engine, such as an internal combustion engine or steam engine. Automotive piston rings, that we offer, are made of wear-resistant materials, such as cast iron & steel, and are coated or treated to enhance the wear resistance. Two-stroke port design is critical to automotive piston rings’ life. Typically, top ring and oil control rings will be coated with chromium, or nitride, possibly plasma sprayed or have a pvd (physical vapor deposit) ceramic coating. main functions of automotive piston rings sealing the combustionexpansion chambersupporting heat transfer from the piston to the cylinder wallregulating engine oil consumption minimum order quantity : 100 pieces
