Water and Soil Analysis Kit that we manufacture, export and supply is very easy to operate by simply putting the F2 switch to standby position and switch on the instrument. The display will indicate 000 at the start. It is advisable to clean the membrane with a soft tissue paper after every use. Our Water and Soil Analysis Kit is appreciated for its accuracy in measurements and portable size. It is available in an easy-to-use kit. pH Measurements : Put the function switch to pH / Orp mode. Wash the electrode with distilled water and dry it with filter water Connect the electrode BNC plug at the input socket Put the combination pH electrode in buffer solution 7.00 pH. Set the Temp. Knob to the Temp. Of the buffer solution. Now move the switch F2 to pH mode. Read the display value, adjust it with Cal control to 7.00 pH value. Again Move the selector switch F2 to Stand by mode. Take out the electrode from 7.00 pH buffer and wash it with distilled water and dry it with filter paper. Put the electrode in 4.00 pH solution. Set this value to 4.00 pH by setting Slope control. The instruments is ready to take measurements. O.R.P. Measurements : Put the function Switch F1 to pH/ORP mode. Rinse the CRP electrode with distilled water and dry it with filter paper. Connect the ORP electrode BNC plug at Input socket. Take 0.00 mV buffer solution freshly prepared and calibrate with Cal knob. The instruments is calibrated and ready for taking ORP measurement of any other solution. Conductivity Measurements : Put the function switch at Cell Const Position Adjust the display to the cell constant value marked on the conductivity cell supplied with the instrument. Now move the switch to the COND. Position Put the range switch at appropriate positions so that best possible resolution is obtained. TDS Measurements : Put the function switch at TDS Position Clean the conductivity cell, dry it and connect in cond/TDS input socket. Adjust the display to cell constant value marked on conductivity cell by cell const, knob and function switch at Cell const position. Dip the cond. Cell in the unknown solution whose TDS value to be measured. Put the range switch at appropriate PPM/PPT position, so it best possible resolution is obtained. Cell Constant Measurement : It is recommended that cell constant of the conductivity cell must checked off and on. This can be done as follows : Dip the conductivity cell in a solution of known conductivity. (1408µmhos) Keep the function switch Fat Cond position. Adjust the display to the value of known solution by rotating CE Constant Knob. Bring function switch F to Cell const. Position. The display will indicate the cell constant of the conductivity cell. D.O. Measurements is done by following steps : D.O. Probe Assembly D.O. Probe consist of a silver and gold electrode cells, an electrolyte tube with thering. The following procedure may be followed for assembly or D.O. Probe Be careful to handle its membrane. Fit the membrane on the lower part of the electrolyte tube. Fix the ring on the electrolyte tube covering the sides of the membrane. Fill Potassium chloride solution (7.5%) in the electrolyte tube to its top. Insert the electrode in the electrolyte tube and tightly screw it up. Now the probe is ready to use. D.O. Operation : Put the function switch F1 to D.O. Mode and adjust the display to Co.o with Zero knob and insert the D.O. Probe in D.O. Sockets. Please keep colour code in consideration. Keep the Temp knob to the extreme left position and Cal Knob to extreme right position. Place the D.O. Probe in 2% sodium Sulphite solution. Allow the display to attain equilibrium. If the display does not read 000, set the zero knob to bring the display to read 000 by keeping the temp. Knob to actual temp. Of the solution. Calibrate knob should be at extreme right position. Now Calibrate the instrument with known value of D.O. Solution Take 250 ml. Flash and fill 2/3 of it with distilled water. Stopper the flash and shake it for 30 seconds. Remove the stopper back and siri the water back and repeat the procedure 4 times. Measure the temp. Of the water and set the temp. Knob at temp of water in the flask. Hold do probe in the flash and agitate the water. Note the reading of the display and check the value with that of the table below for given temperature. If necessary adjust the meter reading with CaL knob. Note : Please refer to the saturation values of the dissolved Oxygen in distilled water as given in Table 1. it shows the values for dissolved oxygen which will be obtained when shaking the distilled water at different temp. In the air. Now the instruments is ready to take measurements of D.O. Value of any unknown solution Caution : Since the measurement is based on the diffusion process, the agitation of the solution is must. Hand shaking of the solution may not give accurate readings, magnetic stirrer is recommended for this purpose. Movement of the solution should be about 2ft/sec for accurate measurement. BOD bottle is recommended as a container for measurement of sample solution in the laboratory. Because DO probe tight fits in BOD bottle and no atmospheric oxygen may dissolve during measurement. Maintenance of D.O. Probe : Do not touch the silver electrode of the probe. The Membrane must not have any pin hole, puncture. The DO reading will be erratic at constant DO concentration and temperature, if the membrane has a puncture. Any accumulation of organic matter on the membrane will effect the Cal. It is advisable to clean the membrane with a soft tissue paper after use.

The flow may be laminar or turbulent. Osborne Reynolds (23 August 1832 - 21 February 1912) was a prominent innovator in the understanding of fluid dynamics and mechanics. Osborne Reynolds Apparatus consists of water resource for the system supply, fix-head water input to big and small transparent pipes, dye input by injection unit, and water output unit to determine water flow rate. The laminar, transition and turbulent flows can be obtained by varying the water flow rate using the water outlet control valve

Casagrande method in mechanical form is known as Liquid Limit Method and has been in use for soil mechanics for a number of years. The Liquid Limit data of soils is useful to correlate mechanical properties of soil, such as compressibility and lower shear strength. Liquid limit is the water content at which soil passes from zero strength to an infinitesimal strength, hence the true value of liquid limit cannot be determined. For determination purpose liquid limit is that water content at which a part of soil, cut by a groove of standard dimensions, will flow together for a distance of 1.25cm under an impact of 25 blows in a standard liquid limit apparatus. The soil at the water content has some strength which is about 0.17N/cm.sq. (17gms/sq.cm) At this water content soil just passes from liquid state to plastic state. SPECIFICATIONS: It consists of a brass cup held on an adjustable bracket. The cup can be adjusted for a fall of 1 cm and can be raised and dropped on a rubber base of standard hardness by cam action. Complete with one casagrande grooving tool, one ASTM Grooving tool and a high gauge block (Type A of IS 9259). Liquid Limit Device with Counter models are fitted with a counter to register the number of blows. Liquid Limit Device Motorised models are fitted with a motor geared down to give approximately 120 RPM. Suitable for operation on 230 volts. Single phase, 50 cycles, A.C. supply.

Used to determine the amount of water required to produce a cement paste of standard consistency and the setting time. The time it takes for a cement to stiffen to a standard value after addition of water is commonly known as the set time. The test involves mixing cement with water and then measuring its resistance to penetration of a standard probe at varying intervals of time, until a certain value is reached
