Sheet Metal Lever Limit Switch
Features : The lever Limit switch operates when its lever reaches its pre-determined position and the lever is moved over a projecting member fixed on the Girder. The Limit Switch contacts are automatically reset when the lever returns to zero position due to spring action. The Lever Limit Switch is made in IP-41 as well as in IP-54 enclosure. In case of IP 41 enclosure the housing is made from suitably reinforced sheet steel where as in case of IP-54, the cover is of Cast Aluminum. Also in this case the base and cover have machined surface to protect the Limit Switch against dust. The cam shaft on which the cams are fitted is mounted in the housing on moulded bushes of synthetic material which are fixed to the front and rear walls by means of screws. The Cams which are fitted on the cam shaft are moulded from the highest quality synthetic material and are accurately cut to correspond to the switching sequence desired. The contacts have a maximum continuous Current capacity of 40 amps AC. The contact tips are made of high grade Silver Cadmium Oxide alloy. When used for Series operation[ up to 40 Amps maximum], the Contacts are suitable for 720 operations per hour and in case of Shunt operation [ for Control Circuit ] , the Contacts are suitable for 1200 operation per hour. The same Contacts can be used in Series as well as in Shunt configurations The switching capacity of the Contacts when used for Shunt operation is 15 amps at 400 Volts, AC on highly inductive load and 2.5 amps at 220 Volts DC . These switching capacities in fact are far in excess of what is actually required in practise and hence replacement of Contacts for Shunt may not be necessary for a long time. The body of the Contacts is made of high grade Melamine which is specifically suited for heavy duty operation .The material is non – tracking and is capable of with standing heavy arcing.

The Crane Control Equipments makes Resistance Boxes that are designed for both A.C. & D.C. applications. Our Stainless Steel Grid Resistance Boxes are used in winches,E.O.T Cranes, Rolling Mills, Steel Plants, Flour Mills, Cement Plants, Power Plants, Coil Mines etc., for speed controlling and developing of higher starting torque. We have carved a niche as one of the dominant Punched Steel Resistance Boxes Suppliers based in India. These resistance Boxes can be designed to BSS/NEMA/IEEE standards. We can also design and manufacture the resistors as per any specific standards specified by the customer. Generally the resistor grids are either made of Stainless Steel wire or Punched Steel Sheet or in Fechral Material. The Resistance boxes manufactured are suitable for a maximum temperature rise of 3750C as stipulated in BSS standards. Stainless Steel Grid Resistance Boxes:- In this case the resistor grids consist of corrosion resistant stainless steel wire or strips. Current rating generally ranges from 7 Amps to 80 amps continuous. Higher ratings are possible by using multiple parallel paths. The size of the wire is determined based on the technical data of the motor on which the Resistance Box is to be connected. The drawn resistor material is uniform in section and free from any flaw or unevenness which is likely to cause local heating. Suitable sizes of strips / wire are employed to give a wide range of current ratings. The Grids are supported in such a way that the adjacent Grids cannot touch each other even under the most severe conditions of service. The resistor elements consists of a continuous length of resistance wire or strip of uniform section formed into the required number of loops and bent so as to form frames with flanged edges similar to an element. These are then mounted on Mica insulated Steel rods with Mica Washers between Steel spacers acting as Grid spacers. The whole assembly thus forms a stack. Number of these stacks is formed to achieve the correct design of Resistance box required. Punched Steel Resistors:- In this case the Resistance boxes are made from Nickel Chromium Alloys Sheet Steel or Fechral as the case may be. Depending on the rating required the grids which are previously punched on a die fixture are assembled to from the desired Resistance Box. The inherent strength of the steel itself is quite high and owing to the reinforced and pressed construction the rigidity of the Punched Grid is even higher. Also since the grids are in form of Punched Sheet these are completely immune to shock and vibration. They function reliably under the worst operating conditions. These Resistors are available in a wide range from 19 amps to 234 amps continuous. Also the fixing dimensions and weight of various types of Grids are identical which means that different type of Grids required for various steps of Resistance would have identical size and mounting dimensions. The heat dissipation of Punched Steel Grids is uniform irrespective of the current rating. All the Rubber surfaces are immersed in Oil, there by requiring very less maintenance. One outstanding feature of Crane Control Equipments make Thrustor is that any Mechanical Overloading cannot cause Overloading of the Electric Motor. If the Load is greater than what the Thrustor can lift, the Piston will remain at the bottom of the Cylinder and the impeller will rotate harmlessly in Oil. In the absence of Load the Piston stops at the end of the stroke and the Impeller rotates in the Oil as mentioned above. basically Crane Control Equipments make Electro Hydraulic Thrustor comprises of a Centrifugal Pump Impeller spinning in Oil there by developing a pressure head. Since there is no outlet delivery port as in case of a Pump, the pressure developed is impressed on the Piston which is directly coupled to the Load to be lifted. Thus a part of the pressure head is expanded in forming a kinetic head required to lift the Load. At the end of the Lift, either partial or full i e., when the Thrustor stalls, it is the full pressure head which is available. Thus the maximum thrust in the stalled position is always higher than the rated thrust. The Centrifugal Pump Impeller is driven by an Electric Motor the capacity of which depends upon the capacity of the Thrustor .In case of a 18 kg Thrustor the Motor is of 0.1 HP . The major components of the Crane Control Equipments make Electro Hydraulic Thrustor are, a Cast Iron cylinder filled with Transformer Oil, with a Aluminum Piston moving freely in it and a Drive Shaft down the center, through the Piston , to the cylinder. The Impeller draws Oil forcing the Oil beneath the Piston to give it an upward movement in the cylinder with pressure. The pressure is maintained when the Impellar is in motion. During transportation the Oil is drained out from the Thrustor hence at the time of commissioning the system required quantity of Oil needs to be filled up in the Thrustor. It is advisable to use only fresh Grade transformer Oil. The quantity of Transformer Oil required to be filled up in the Thrustor depends upon the capacity of the Thrustor. In case of 18 Kg Thruster 1.85 liters Oil is required. Recommended grade of Transformer Oil is BS 148 or equivalent.
