CLAMP ON CURRENT PROBES

The current Probe Secondary should never be open-circuited. Otherwise, lethal voltages will be developed and the Probe will be damaged. Always complete the secondary connections firmly before clipping on the Probe to the circuit. For disconnection, reverse the sequence. For Power measurements, ensure the correct P1, P2 and S1, S2 Polarities as indicated by the arrows on the Probe. The clamp-on jaw marked with a dot can be hinged open to improve access in cramped spaces. Ensure that the exposed metallic ends of the open jaw do not short bus bars. The size 50 Probes should never be used on un-insulated conductors or bus bars.Do not drop Probes or subject to mechanical impacts.Do not attempt to use with Probe secondary open.To meet accuracy specifications-Metallic mating surfaces should be kept free from dust and contamination by wiping with clean, dry cloth.
