dental x-ray film
Dental X-ray, also known as radiograph, is a significant tool for the dentist. The 3 most common categories of Dental X-rays are the Periapical X-ray, Bitewing X-ray, and Panoramic X-rays. Bitewing radiographs are used during regular dental check-ups and helpful in exposing dental cavities amid teeth. Periapical radiographs show the whole tooth, roots included, as well as the bone surrounding the tooth. These X-rays are helpful in diagnosing a dental abscess as well as any periodontal gum problem. The third type of x-ray frequently used in dentistry; the Panoramic radiograph provides an extensive overview of the entire oral cavity. Panoramic X-ray provides information about the upper and lower jawbone, teeth, sinuses, and all other soft and hard tissues of the head region and neck region.
