Hot Springs Cove Explorer (6 hours):Boat cruise north through 26 miles of Clayoquot Sound to Hot Springs Cove. En route (weather permitting), we may view seals and Stellar Sea lion colonies on the windswept ocean reefs. Stops may also be made at the favourite whale feeding bays to spy the gentle giants in their natural habitat, or even see Killer Whales (Orcas) as they pass through on their hunt for food. At Hot Springs Cove disembark and head out on a 1.5 km. cedar boardwalk through pristine old growth forest to Sharp Point where the hot springs are located (park fee $ 3 pp not included – payable on site). There is a change room for changing into swimsuits. The hot springs are at ocean level and are almost boiling where they emerge from the ground. The Hot-spring waters travel down 15 meters, over a waterfall (42 C.) and into several natural rock pools. Enjoy a soothing soak in the mineral waters that are so good for the mind and the body! Bring a picnic lunch, refreshments, walking shoes, bathing suit, water slippers, a towel and a camera. Time at Hot Springs Cove is approx 3 hours.
