Scooters Warranty Policy
SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED,(here in after called as SMIPL) offers warranty for Suzuki Scooter models " NEW ACCESS , LETS & BURGMAN STREET " (here in after called as Products) manufactured in its Gurgaon plant and sold through its authorized dealers. Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited reserves the right either to replace or repair, at their authorized dealer, free of cost, those parts which may be found on examination to have manufacturing defect within 2 years from the date of sale (or) first 24,000 kms whichever occurs earlier of its operation. Condition of Warranty - The warranty coverage for Products will be valid only if the following are availed & followed: All 4 Free Services as per the given schedule. All 4 Paid Services as per the given schedule. Maintaining the service record given in the Owners Manual duly signed by SMIPL authorized dealer for each of the 4 Free, 4 Paid. The claim for exchange (or) repair of parts shall be considered only when: Customer ensures that immediately upon the discovery of the defect he approaches the nearest SMIPL authorized dealer with the affected Scooter. The expenses if any for bringing the affected Scooter to SMIPL authorized dealer has to be borne by customer only. Customer produces the Owners Manual in original, to enable SMIPL authorized dealer to verify ownership & service record. Warranty claims in respect of proprietary items like Tyres, Tubes, Battery and Sparkplug are warranted by their respective manufacturers and shall be claimed on them directly by the customer as per their warranty terms and SMIPL shall not be liable in any manner to replace them. However SMIPL authorized dealer will give full assistance in taking up the claims with respective manufacturers. Use of non-genuine parts (or) accessories not approved by SMIPL which affects the performance and reliability of the scooter. Premature wear of Engine parts such as Cylinder, Piston, Valves, and Bearings due to adulteration of petrol/fuel. If any of the free or paid service is not done as per schedule, the warranty tends to stand void. Parts of the vehicle have been subjected to misuse, accident, and negligent treatment, use of bad quality parts which are not manufactured (or) not recommended for use by SMIPL on their Scooters. Parts of the Scooter getting rusted or their plating or painting coming off due to atmospheric condition like Sea Breeze and Industrial Pollutions. Scooter used for any Competition (Le.) Rallies (or) Races, if it is used for any commercial purposes like Hiring etc. SMIPL undertakes no liability in the matter of any consequential loss (or) damage caused due to failure of the parts. Parts repaired (or) replaced under this warranty are warranted only for the original warranty period of Suzuki Scooters. Consumables like Engine Oil, TFF Oil, Grease, used for the warranty repair are not covered under the application of the warranty. ALL DISPUTES WILL BE SUBJECTED TO JURISDICTION OF (NEW DELHI). Safe Riding Tips
Motorcycle riding is great fun and an exciting sport. Motorcycle riding also requires that some extra precautions be taken to ensure the safety of the rider and passenger. These precautions are: Wear a Helmet Motorcycle safety equipments starts with the quality helmet. One of the most serious injuries that can happen is a head injury. Always wear a properly approved helmet. Always assure that the strap is properly locked. Familiarize yourself with the motorcycle Your motorcycle skill and your mechanical knowledge form the foundation of safe riding practices. We suggest that you practice riding your motorcycle in a non-traffic situation until you are thoroughly familiar with your machine and its controls. Remember practice makes perfect. Wet Roads Riding on wet roads (or) rainy days requires extra caution. Braking distance doubles on a rainy day, as the friction between the motorcycle tyre and the road reduces. Stay off the painted surface marks, manhole covers and greasy appearing areas as they can be especially slippery. Use extreme caution on railway crossings and on metal gratings and bridges. Whenever in doubt about road condition, slow down. Tyre Always maintain the correct tyre pressure recommended by company. High pressure leads to poor road contact, it may lead to skidding while taking a turn or applying brakes. Low pressure leads to wobbling, overheating and low pickup. Braking Always apply both the brakes for effective stoppage of vehicle. Caution: Don't disengage the clutch while braking. Never apply single brake separately as it can result into skidding of the scooter/motorcycle there by causing serious accident. Attending Calls Never attend your cell phone when you are driving. Park the scooter/motorcycle on side of the road and only then attend the calls for yours and others safety. Early Start Always plan your journey before you travel. Start early to avoid speeding, aggressive driving as frustration normally leads to accidents. Ride Wisely Always stick to the left lane and leave the right lane for faster vehicles. Never ride in the blind spot zone when following the vehicle, always maintain minimum distance for better stoppage of vehicle. Sudden side winds, which can occur when being passed by larger vehicles at tunnel exits or in hilly areas, can affect your control. Reduce your vehicle speed and be alert to side winds. Hill Riding
