An ideal instrument for counting bacterial and mould colonies in culture work. It provides uniform flare free illumination to minimise the strain on eyes and clearly defines even small colonies. A 100mm dia lens covers the entire illuminations field and its magnification assures highly accurate results. Counting plate with standard wolfhugel ruling ensures clealy differentiated and sharply defined colonies. Supplied complete with counting plate, lens, cord and plug.

Simply place the petri dish on the illuminated pad and touch the dish with the pen provided to mark each colony in turn. This causes a count to be registered on the digital display and an audible tone confirms each count made. Marking the disc with the pen avoids missing colonies or double counting. The digital count on the display can be reset manually anytime by pressing the RESET key provided. Optimum viewing of colonies is added by peripheral glare-free illumination. An integral magnifying glass provided for easier counting of small colonies. Standard accessories include Marking Pen, Magnifier Lens
