Envirotech’s Noise Monitoring Terminal is optimized for outdoor use and can be left unattended as part of an environmental noise monitoring system for mobile, permanent and semi-permanent monitoring. It can be used in all climatic environments and is especially suitable for industrial, city and field use. The terminal consists of a weather proof cabinet, special outdoor microphone, data logger, a GPRS modem and a battery. The terminal can be mounted on a mast or a pole and can also be powered by a solar panel for smooth operation in harsh Indian conditions. State of the art software is provided to control the terminal remotely from a central receiving station via GPRS/EDGE/3G. Post processing software for report preparation and data analysis is also included. Real time data can be made available on a website or shown on a display board as required.

APM 460 DXNL is one of the most advanced PM10 samplers being manufactured in India. It is based on CSIR NEERI technology and is the only PM 10 sampler in India that conforms to BIS 5182 (Part 23): 2006 Special features: Automatic Flow Controller with electronic feedback for constant sampling rate throughout the sampling period. Brushless regenerative blower with very little noise. Heavy duty Induction motor fitted in blower requires no maintenance. Blower immune to voltage fluctuations thus eliminating need of voltage stabilizer. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) to TVs is totally eliminated.A Automatic flow controller and auto shut off In all previous models of particulate samplers in use in the country, the sampling rate varies with dust loading on the filter and fluctuates with changes in the mains voltage. The APM 460 DXNL uses an electronic flow controller to automatically maintain constant sampling rate through the filter/cyclone assembly. The size fractionating cyclone of the APM 460 DXNL thus operates close to its designed separation velocity resulting in a sharper cut-off for particulates larger than 10 microns. When the dust load on filter becomes excessive and exceeds the capacity of the blower the electronic circuits provided in the flow controller automatically shut down the machine. Owing to its modular design, APM 460 DXNL can be easily paired with a gaseous sampling attachment (for monitoring SO2, NOx, NH3, Ozone etc) as gaseous sampling requires only a few LPM of air flow. Factory Act 1948 as amended in 86-87 clearly lays down a requirement of regular scientific monitoring of workers’ exposure for air borne dust and other pollutants. Workers’ exposure measured in terms of Total Suspended Particulate Matter does not indicate its criticality in terms of health effects. Only the Respirable fraction of total dust is known to have direct relation to health hazards. Therefore, measurement of worker exposure for respirable dust is considered one of the main criteria to establish associated health risk. To full-fill need of monitoring exposure of the total air borne dust as well as the respirable fraction of dust, Envirotech has developed a light-weight, battery – operated Personal Sampler equipped with a cyclonic system. The sampler can be mounted on the body of the worker. The sampler has a compact aluminium cabinet with a clip so that the system can be belt worn. The cyclone designed for cut off at 5 microns as recommended by DGMS for measurement of worker exposure to respirable dust. The air leaving the cyclone, having particles of the size 5 microns or less passes through glass micro-fiber filter of 37mm dia. housed in Teflon filter holder fitted at the top of cyclone where respirable dust get accumulated and can be quantified gravimetrically. The collected dust can further be analyzed for specific constituents viz. lead, other heavy metals, silica, etc. The APM 801 can sample air at flow rates from 0.5 to 3.0 LPM. For optimum efficiency of the cyclonic system, the flow rate needs to be maintained between 1.6 and 1.9 lpm. In APM 801 rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries are provided with sufficient storage to operate the system for full shift of 8hrs making it compatible for TLV measurements. A separate battery-charger is provided with the system to recharge the batteries overnight.
