It is a snap action thermostat in which the contacts open instantaneously as soon as the fixed temperature is reached. Any temp. upto 280°C can be set in the factory as per customer’s requirement. It is mostly used in toasters, iron, incubators, sterilizers, surgical & industrial equipment’s, hot plates, etc.  

The Simmerstat provides infinitely variable control of the heat output of electric hotplates, boiling rings, grills, Grill – boilers, warming cupboards etc. Its smooth action allows any heat from zero to full to be selected at the turn of a simple control. The simmerstat cuts down electricity consumption by up to 50 percentage. No special allowance for fitting are necessary as it occupies the same space and utilizes the same fixing holes as ordinary three-heat switch and wiring is simplified.

The  Expo switches are of high quality and are used in hot plates, coolers, washing machines, electric cooking ranges etc. Rotary Switches are to 5 Amps and 15Amps rating and are fitted with very fine quality contracts for long lasting. The contacts close or open as per the diagram shown. The switches consist of Bakelite body except for the hot plate switch. The hot plate switch has a ceramic base to withstand high temperature. The switches have a 360° rotation. The switches are provided with a black or white knob with proper marking. Single hole fixing is provided by a threaded brush. The switch is secured by a single center  fixing nut. The connections should be made as per the diagram shown.

Stem type therostat operates by opening and closing a snap-action switch in the load circuit. It consists of a brass tubing which is the sensor for operating and as soon as the particular temperature is reached the switch opens and thus switched off the mains supply to the load. When the temperature at the brass tube fall below a certain level the switch makes the contact and the mains supply to the element is restored. In this way the temperature can be set by adjusting the screw.
