The insulation is resistance to moisture, oils, alkalies, grease etc giving long life and electrical safety. Sheath In Multicore cables, the cores are laid up to form the core assembly. The cores are coded with a colour scheme as per IS 694/1990. The sheathing is applied with specially formulated PVC compound to facilitate not only easy stripping but also to ensure toughness to with stand mechanical abrasion while on use.
