The current mining techniques demand that conveyor belts handle ever greater volumes, with increased centre distances and high lifts, all of which necessitated a stronger belting. Yet, the high strength of the steel cord tension carrier is not the only reason why steel cord belts are increasingly being used as an optimum and economic alternative to other bulk material handling alternatives.

Forech textile conveyor belts are offered in a standard range manufactured in one to six plies. This enables selection of the most appropriate construction for every conceivable application. Forech conveyor belting complies with all known international standards. It can work in areas of bulk material handling from the lightest to the most difficult of the working conditions, be it in the stone quarrying or earth moving industry, in the steel, cement or mining industry. For those applications where the customer prefers to use the modern minimum ply concept conveyor belting, wherein the height of fall on the belt is more and special impact conditions have to be considered, forech offers the fh-hd range in three and four ply belts.

With smooth surface conveyor belts the maximum conveying angle of inclination is approximately 20° depending on the material. If steeper angles of inclinations are required the same is made possible by using chevron cleated belts. Chevron conveyor belt have rubber profiles that are integrally vulcanized with the top cover of the belt. These profiles are made with highly abrasion resistant rubber types and are offered in softer compounds (45 50 shore) as also 60 shore materials. The profiles are shaped in such a manner that there is no need for special idlers and these can be run on conventional conveyors. The pitch of the chevron ensures a smooth ride over flat return idlers.

Forech offers a wide range of wear resistant elements in various dimensions, with thicknesses from 30mm to 150mm. These elements are designed as a modular unit to facilitate quick and easy replaceability of a worn out element from an entire chute, a hopper or a truck-bed. Each element is made of a rubber plate, which is bonded to a 5mm - 10mm thick steel plate, depending on the overall thickness of the total element. This provides the element with secure fastening.

We can manufacture pipe belts up to a pipe diameter of 650 mm with steel cord reinforcement and a pipe diameter of 650 mm with synthetic fabric reinforcement. All testing equipment to measure the aspect ratio and the load vectors acting on the six idlers are available with us.
