This homogenizing system has a stirrer motor with a 1/40-hp motor and two output shafts that measure 5/16" dia. The geared shaft is ideal when you need higher torque (5.4 in-lb) and lower speeds (333 rpm); direct-drive shaft has lower torque (0.26 in-lb) and higher speeds (6000 rpm). Electronic motor controller features feedback circuitry that maintains set speed regardless of sample viscosity. Filtered circuitry provides smooth rotation and repeatability while reducing motor temperature and noise. Reversing switch lets motor shaft rotate the pestle clockwise or counterclockwise during homogenization. Controller is connected to the motor with a cord to keep it away from hazardous environments.
