Vacuum Tray Dryer
VTD is Box-shaped and loaded and unloaded via a door (two doors on the larger models). The Box closed by these doors which are lacked tightly to provide an air tight seal and connected to a vacuum pump through a condenser & receiver .At the pressure about 0.03 to 0.06 bars, vacuum box is operated. • The trays which are present in the dryer are used to dry the materials which are placed on the shelves and the pressure is decreased up to 30 to 60 kps by a vacuum pump. • The door is closed firmly and steam is passed through the space of jacket and shelves. So that the heat transfer takes place by the mechanism of conduction. • Be vacuum evaporation the water is taken out from the material at 25 - 30 @c. • Water vapor passes into the condenser and after drying vacuum line is disconnected then the materials are collected from the trays.

(b) Main Mixing Vessel (Contra Type): Vacuum Operated, Agitated, Jacketed for heating & cooling type. The mixer is designed & fabricated to withstand perfect vacuum applied during the process for optimum mixing & to eliminate air entrapment as surfactant has tendency of forming suds. The vessel shall have a shell of suitable thickness with a dished bottom and flanged top dish made out of S.S. 316 L plate. There is provision of bottom entry homogenizer in the same vessel which homogenizes all ingredients. The vessel shall be suitable for 700 mm vacuum and internal pressure of 3 Kgscm2 through vacuum pump. There will be a suitable outlet provided for the product discharge.
