Sulfosulfuron inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), also called acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS), a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of the branched-chain amino acids isoleucine, leucine, and valine. Plant death results from events occurring in response to ALS inhibition and low branched-chain amino acid production, but the actual sequence of phytotoxic processes is unclear. Sulfosulfuron is a selective early emergence herbicide used for the effective control of Phalaris minor in wheat crop.

Emamectin benzoate acts on nerve cells to suppress muscle contraction. The insect is paralyzed and stops feeding within hours of ingesting it preventing subsequent crop damage. It is an insecticide with stomach action and should be ingested by the larvae to be most effective. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Emamectin benzoate 5% SG.

Copper oxychloride is a protectant fungicidebactericide which prevents infection on plants. Its mode of action is by interfering with the enzyme system of spores and mycelium, a process which is usually irreversible.
