The dose should be increased after 2 hours to 2 mg/10ml/hr (about 30 mcg/kg body mass), provided no severe decrease in blood pressure is observed. Patients of body mass less than 70 kg or with unstable blood pressure should be started on a dose of 0.5 mg nimodipine per hour (2.5 mL of Nimodipine iv solution), or less if necessary.
