Then place a shower cap over the top of that. Allow to sit on hair for a minimum of 2 hours Rinse paste from hair. Do not shampoo for 24 to 48 hours, as grey hair. Step One - Mix henna powder in a bowl with water. Add enough liquid to make it the consistency of pudding. Cover the container with plastic wrap and let it set until you see dye release. For back color-leave on for 45 minutes to 1 hour. For Brown Color-leave on for 15 to 30 minutes, depending on how deep you want the brown to be. Rinse the paste out.
