Nitrogen Mobile Inflation System The TR4 offers a portable standalone solution for Nitrogen filling of tyres. The rugged mobile design system enables ease of use in motor racing pits, workshops, fleet control, tyre stores, lube shops and auto dealerships. Using an industry standard bottle as a source or direct from Nitrogen generator, it can inflate up to 4 tyres simultaneously. The battery life is extended by an automatic power off function. In typical use, the unit will only have to be recharged every few days as high capacity NiMH batteries are used. The TR4 is supplied with 4x8m hoses with clip-on closed chuck. The integrated accessory box provides storage compartments for chucks and other components like valve cores and caps. Due to rubber softness the braking of tyre is improved and the tyre does not skid or make noise on turns. Nitrogen gas avoids oxidation of the rubber being a dry gas. Therefore, in case of puncture, the nitrogen gas escapes very slowly from the tyre thus giving more time to drive a punctured tyre. Oxygen is your tyres worst enemy. Air is about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other. Nitrogen is inert, non combustible, and non corrosive. Oxygen on the other hand is a destructive element. When tyres are exposed to air, a long term and continuing deterioration begins - oxidation of the rubber in the tyre. What happens to a rubber band overtime ? It loses its elasticity and strength. This same process occurs in tyres inflated with air as the oxygen attack the rubber molecules, working from the inside out until the oxygen permeates th tyre structure and ultimately the tread.
