All Materials which are recovered through Solvent Extraction have an effect on Crude Oil Quality. In addition to these effect there are other Factors involving Crude Oil Storage, Handling and Transport.The process of Degumming is based on the process for removal Phosphatides, which is also called gums. The common usage refers to the array of Phosphatides present in mostly all Crude Oil, although all Crude Vegetable Oils contain Gums. Degumming of oil is done to prepare degummed oil for Caustic & Physical Refining.

The unit is used for refining gold alloys using aqua regia; minimum obtainable purity is 999.5/1000 The units are modular to reduce eventual costs if production increases; Pyrex glass is used as it the only material that absorb precious metals. It also facilitates the cleaning operations of the reactors and condensers.

Refining is a process used for removal of undesirable elements like free fatty acids (FFA), gums, phosphatides etc. from oil and to improve its quality and ensure colour uniformity. The process involves degumming, neutralising, bleaching and deodorisation. For small capacity plants below 20-25 tons per day, batch process is recommended being low cost and easy to operate thus making the plant economically viable.
