Thermoplastic road marking paint, also called hot melt marking paint, is a kind of powder paint. When applied as road surface markings, a hot melt kettle is used to heat it to 200 °C (392 °F) to melt the powder, after which it is sprayed on the road surface. The coating then becomes a hard, polymer line after cooling. This paint is a thick coating as is wear-resisting, bright and reflective. In recent years, practical applications tests have proved that the marking lines lack surface roughness and can easily cause wheel slip, resulting in a traffic accident in snow and rainy weather. Therefore, some countries once restricted the use of this paint. In order to increase the antiskid performance of the line, thermoplastic paint has added reflective glass beads. Thermoplastic can be used very effectively for large Anti-skid areas on roads and pedestrian walkways by adding glass beads. Our Multi Purpose Anti Corrosive Black Bituminous Coating named TankMastic is an especially formulated anti-corrosive, tasteless, odorless, non-toxic and black bituminous coating. It is used for protecting the internal surface of storage water tanks, pipes, etc. from corrosion. Our TankMastic conforms to IS: 9862/1981 as well IS: 158/1981 standards. TankMastic is ideal for coating insides of masonry or steel water tanks and various other applications.   Application : TankMastic® provides corrosion protection coating to all types of iron, steel including drums, and masonry or concrete surfaces for fixing glass panels on building elevation. It, being non-toxic / odourless, is suitable for coating insides of masonry / steel water tanks.   Advantages : It is easily applicable by brush/spray gun. It dries rapidly leaving black glossy finish. The resultant film is tough and elastic and does not crack easily due to structural movements. It is resistant to diluted acids and alkalis. It is non-toxic and does not impart odour or taste to water or other contents in contact. Application Methodology : The base metal should be cleaned thoroughly by sand blasting or otherwise. Before application, surface should be totally dry, free from moisture, oil, grease, mill scale or rust. For better performance, a coat of ShaliTex® Primer is recommended on metallic surfaces, However, for concrete or other porous surfaces, a coat of ShaliTex® Primer is pre-requisite. ShaliTex® Primer should be allowed to dry hard before TankMastic® is applied TankMastic® must be stirred properly before applying by brush or spray gun. Two coats of TankMastic® are recommended for concrete and three coats for metallic surfaces.   Health & Safety : Lid of the container should be firmly fixed, when not in use. TankMastic® shall have no harmful reaction, when it comes in contact with drinking water. Use goggles and hand gloves during application. Clean hands with warm soap water after application Packing Available in 1 L, 4 L, 20 L and 200 L drum.   Storage : Keep in cool and dry place in air tight container under shed away from heat.
