The indentor is in the form of precision machined truncated cone as per above standardsThe amount of the resistance to penetration is indicated on the diameter of the Tester which has been graduated to read from 0 to 100 Shore-A numbers (0 being the lowest and 100 being the highest degree of hardness.)
