Apparatus consists of a mild steel angle of size 1" X 1" X 1/8" or an equivalent metric units of length 80 cm is tied as a cantilever beam. The beam should be fixed at one end such that the rotation of 45degree intervals are given and clamped such that the principal axis of its cross-section may be inclined at any angle with the horizontal and vertical planes. It is based on the Constant hydraulic principle. The machine provide tension & compression test .load frame depend on the machine capacity. This is used for determination of resistance to wear for cement concrete flooring tiles. The disc polisher consists of a 20 cm balanced polishing disc mounted on a steel spindle. The spindle is located on heavy duty ball bearing. The disc is easily removable for quick changing of the polishing cloth or paper, which is fastened on the disc by mean of spring or rubber girdle on the rim of the disc. Around the disc is an aluminium drain jacket fitted with drain tube. The speed of the disc can be continuously varied from 450 to 1200 r.p.m. A metallic reservoir is also provided for dropping water on the specimen. Rapid moisture meter, Using a speedy moisture meter, the moisture content of soils, sand and other fine-grained material can be obtained quickly with reasonable accuracy. The test technique is based on the fact that water will react with calcium carbide to form acetylene gas and the quantity of gas formed is directly proportional to the water present, leaving a surplus of the chemical used in the test. The quantity of acetylene gas produced is indicated on a built-in pressure gauge, which is calibrated in percentage of moisture on wet weight basis.
