The family originally started with trading, import and marketing of paper of the then british owned paper mills & managing agents in calcutta.
The firm was always a pioneer and leading trader in paper and pulp from all over the world, including sweden, finland, canada, new zealand, usa etc.
Paper, newsprint and wood pulp were supplied to leading newspapers and publishers throughout india. During the 70's & 80's, when imports of newsprint were canalized, all businesses were transacted through indian govt. Company – state trading corporation of india (stc).
As india started its journey of industrialization, the company subsequently took a decision to diversify in the area of industrial gases, under the name of industrial oxygen co. Ltd.
The company grew for over 30 years and was subsequently turned into a joint venture with air products of usa. It now runs under the name of inox air products pvt. Ltd.
The new delhi based siddho mal group has diversified business interests and a business lineage of over 75 years. Records show that the firm was started before 1935 by lt. Mr. Siddhomal jain and subsequently by his eldest son, lt. Mr. Lalit kumar jain.
The group is now in its 3rd generation and headed by mr. Subodh kumar jain, son of lt. Mr lalit kumar jain.
