A plug fan is a single inlet, free blowing fan, where the unit casing functions as fan housing. The fan has an efficiency of up to 75% and features low sound levels in the low frequencies. In order to optimize the fan efficiency a number of larger units are equipped with twin fans for parallel operating. Because of its construction, a plug fan can give a low and even air speed at the outlet of the fan unit.   The DVE is ideal for units where components are to be positioned after the fan.
