Socio-economic study is carried out to get the information on social and economic condition of the targeted community for the intervention. The information on social condition can include age, education, gender, family size, religion/caste etc. whereas economic condition includes information on household and individual income, livelihood patterns, sources of income, monthly expenditure etc. Socio-economic study enables the project developers to understand the baseline situation and/or impact of an implemented project.
