The new range of Limit Switch has been designed and manufactured for use on reversing drives such as hoists, winches, rolling mills etc. It is compact in design and can be easily accommodated and installed on electric hoists, where space constrains are there. The driving motion is transmitted by worm gear. All gears and hubs are made of low wear thermoplastics. The rotational movements are transmitted to switches by adjustable cams. These Limit Switches come with worm gear drive ratio of 1:12.5, 1:50, 1:100, and 1:200. Specific worm gear drive ratios can also be supplied on request, as per the customer’s requirement. These Limit Switches are supplied with IP65 degree of protection. The contacts of the limit switches are 10 amps. rated at 500 V a.c.

Speedage” make Rotary geared type Limit Switches are used on control and power circuit of reversing drives so as to limit their rotation/movement within a predetermined position. The function of the Limit Switch is to stop the mechanism or drive at the extreme forward / reverse position. The limit switches are particularly suited for use on reversing drives such as hoist, winches, rolling mechanisms used in steel plants such as coke ovens, feeding machinery, valve drives etc. The Geared type Rotary Limit Switch basically consists of heavy duty worm gear drive with a ratio of 48:1 or 60:1. the worm gear unit is built in a sturdy cast aluminium housing which is fitted on the main body of the Limit Switch, covered with dust tight gasket in cast aluminium enclosure. The limit switches are made in IP 54 enclosure with cast Aluminium cover duly machined surfaces to protect against dust and dirt.

The Receiver of the system contains 9 potential free contact relays (7 + Start + Alarm) which can be configured as per the requirement. The Receiver also contains a feedback module which continuously monitors the internal circuitry and enables the user to check the Receiver status via LED on the Receiver. Operated with 2AA size batteries and modular design of the system makes it easy to maintain.

The Lever limit switch operates when it reaches a predetermined position when the lever is moved over a projecting member fixed on the girder. The series limit switch is fitted with four sets of contacts which cuts off two phases of the motor in either direction and is suitable for 500v.a.c. 50 cycles/sec. supply system. The limit switch contacts are automatically reset when the lever returns to zero position due to spring action. The Limit Switches are made in IP 54 enclosure. The housing is made of cast Iron / cast Aluminium.  The base and cover have machined surface to protect against dirt and dust.

An Electro-hydraulic thrustor is an independent mechanism which requires neither clutches nor external piping. The thrustor cylinder accommodates a centrifugal pump and a piston with two push-rods extending outside through thrustor cover and transmitting effort to the brake The robust design Thrustor unit is compact and has long life and is easy to maintain. Main components used are of high quality cast iron and steel. The Thrustor is operated by an integral three phase squirrel cage motor.

Speedage mill duty Thrustor Brakes are suitable for 400440 Volts, 3 Phase A.C. supply for a wide range of drum sizes, from 100mm to 600 mm dia. Higher sizes can also be supplied against specific requirements. The brake is applied by the tension of the compressed springs mounted vertically between the thrustor and brake lever. The thrustor rods are connected with the brake by means of an angle lever. As the piston travels upwards the angle lever turns, pushes the brake rod and compresses the brake spring. Simultaneously, the brake lever on the other side of the wheel (Brake Drum) is retracted. The brake lever at the thrustor begins to move when the first lever reaches the stop on the brake base member
