As a derivation of plain weave, The mesh of main wires is broad, and the cross wires stick together closely, letting liquids or air pass through the intersections of the main and cross wire. This net is best suited for filtering dehydration, and separation of centrifugal separators. Mesh is indicated by the number of weft wires between a distance of 25.4mm.    The Dutch Weaveis produced by the use of coarse mesh (mesh wire, woven wire mesh, wire mesh basket) in the warp and a fine mesh with relatively smaller wire in the fill. This weave results in greater strength with very fine openings and is primarily used as a filter cloth. The shape and position of the openings aid particle retention and increase filter cake formation.

The process of manufacture of twilled Dutch weave is a combination of twilled weave and Dutch weave. The cross wires stick fast to both the interior and exterior of the net.This has a density twice that of Dutch weaves, being the most minute and firm filtration for separation. It is possible by the number of weft wires between a distance of 25.4mm. The Twilled Dutch Weave is produced by a combination of the features of the Dutch Weave and the Twilled Weave. Fill wires are passed alternately over and under two warp wires forming a fine mesh in one direction and a coarse mesh (mesh wire, woven wire mesh, wire mesh basket) in the other. This type of weave is capable of supporting greater loads than the Dutch Weave, with finer openings than the Twilled Weave. It is used in applications where the filtering of heavy material is necessary.

Contrary to plain weave, two lines of the main and cross wires are interweaved alternately. It is possible to use a wire thicker then the mesh of twilled weave and, it ha an advantage of vulcanization being small because the angle of refraction of the main and cross wires is big. It is suitable for cases of comparatively high or much load.The Twilled Weave is produced by passing each fill wire alternately over and under two warp wires. The pattern is staggered on successive warp wires, giving the appearance of parallel diagonal lines. This weave allows the use of proportionately heavier wires in a particular mesh count (number of openings per lineal inch) than is possible in plain weave. This cloth has a wide application capable of supporting greater loads and finer filtrations

A chain-link fence (also referred to as wire netting, wire-mesh fence, chain-wire fence, cyclone fence, hurricane fence, or diamond-mesh fence) is a type of woven fence usually made from galvanized or LLDPE-coated steel wire. Most common type.  Used where the opening is relatively small in comparison to the wire diameter.

Usually starts at 5/8″ (15.875 mm) opening and larger.  Provides long abrasive resistant life, since there are no projections on top to wear. Offers least resistance to flow.  Also very popular in certain architectural and structural applications where a smooth surface on one side is desirable.

Used only in coarse specifications to maintain the accuracy of weave throughout screen life, where the opening is large with respect to wire diameter.
