The impellers are fitted directly on the motor shaft to reduce impedance to the air flow both the suction and pressure openings are located on the outer periphery of the stator thereby creating vacuum and pressure. there is no wear and tear & no lubrication is required as the impeller rotates with no contact between itself and the casing.
