Fully imported from M/s JOHNSTON Sweepers Ltd., UK, the world’s leading manufacturer of outdoor surface cleaning equipment and integrated on locally available truck chassis, VT range of road sweepers are available in multiple Debris Tank volumetric capacities of 5 cu m, 6.5 cu mand 8 cu m, mounted on 11Tand 16TGVW chassis respectively. The sweeper body comprises of a debris tank, an integral water storage tank and an engine cowl. The debris tank is manufactured from stainless steel and is of a tipping design. The tank tipping and rear door opening functions are carried out hydraulically. The high dump height of 1000mm and a dump angle of around 55O, facilitates emptying of the debris into suitable open containers or standard skids which are normally located on the roads’ sides. The VT Range comes fitted with a compact and an efficient sweeping gear, comprising of the channel brush, the suction nozzle and a tilting type wide-sweep brush, designed for maximum performance and protection from damage. Atilting type Wide Sweep Brush is positioned below and across the width of the hopper. Two Side/Channel Brushes located on each side of the equipment clean the curbside areas. The suction nozzles positioned behind each Channel Brush convey the swept materials under vacuum to the debris hopper via a flexible, wear resistant rubber ducting hose. Both the Wide Sweep and the Channel Brushes fitted with PPN and alloy steel bristles are hydraulically operated by independent, low speed, high torque hydraulic motors. An efficient dust suppressant system, with fine water spraying nozzles located at the chassis front, ahead of and inside the side suction nozzles is incorporated in the sweeping system. A common feature to all models the VT range is capable of sweeping 2400mm of road in a single pass at a maximum speed of around 10Kmph. A dedicated, powerful diesel run auxiliary engine drives the dynamically balanced multi-vane impeller type suction blower via a step-up gearbox and a uniquely designed fluid coupling. Each vane of the fan is self cleaning and constructed of abrasion resistant plate of varied thickness, a feature which greatly reduces the risk of damage of injury in the case of failure. The complete blower and engine unit is encapsulated in a sound proof enclosure to reduce operational noise levels to an acceptable limit. A rear end mounted ‘Littasnatch’ hose is provided with the equipment to facilitate pick up of light litter from pavements and hedges. With all electric & electro-hydraulic functional switches and controls housed in a master module inside the driver’s cab, this high performance Road Sweeper is easy to operate and simple to maintain. Application Sweeps and cleans with high efficiency, city streets and roads, heavy duty work sites and is also suitable for contractor duties such as road planning and picking up debris around work sites and access roads. The swept material is collected under vacuum through the side suction nozzles and stored in the Debris Hopper which is then emptied at a disposable site by hydraulic tipping
