Vicat Softening Point Apparatus is used for determining the softening point of Polythene. The Vicat Softening Point is the arithmetic mean of the VSP of the test specimens. The apparatus consists of a heating bath, sample holding stand and a stirring rod. The heating bath is a double walled vessel. A glass stirring rod, one 1 kg weight and one EKE 072 Dial Gauge 0.01 x 25 mm are supplied.
