The measurements taken include temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and precipitation amounts. Wind measurements are taken as free of other obstructions as possible, while temperature and humidity measurements are kept free from direct solar radiation, or insolation. Manual observations are taken at least once daily, while automated observations are taken at least once an hour. Weather conditions out at sea are taken by ships and buoys, which measure slightly different meteorological quantities such as sea surface temperature, wave height, and wave period. SC805 is a high performance Temperature (RH+T) Transmitter and 2-wire Relative Humidity. Its relative humidity and temperature transmitter is available in surface mount, duct mount and remote sensor versions. Remote external sensors, SHT20, SHT30 (wall-mount) & SHT40 (duct-mount) may be placed as far as 25 meters from the unit. SC805 has a dual LCD display; the first line indicates relative humidity % and the second, the temperature in °C. The transmitter is accurate to 2% for relative humidity and within 0.3 °C for temperature. SC805 transmits two isolated 4-20 mA retransmission outputs to other devices such as a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or Solid-State Relay (SSR). SC805’s micro controller technology linearizes the input which makes control more effective. It is powered by a 4.5 - 32 V DC loop supply and has a loop drop of no more than 4.5V, which is remarkably low amongst such products. The RH+T transmitter is user programmable by a PC, connected via PCC82, a PC configurator by Radix.
