The MYQ Yarn Evenness Tester yarn warp arrangement to wrap the yarn over it at equal spacing under a desired tension. The board is rotated manual to warp yarn over it. Crimp Rigidity of a textured yarn gives a measure of its ability to recover from stretch. It is determined by measuring the percentage reduction of length of a skein of yarn immersed in water when a minor load replaces a major load. For measuring crimp rigidity, a skein of known number of strands is prepared from the package of yarn under test. This skein is then immersed in water filled in a glass jar with a load of 0.1 gdenierstrand suspended on it. The length of the skein is measured on a scale. The load is then reduced to 0.002 gdenierstrand by replacing the major load by the minor load and the reading on the scale observed. Crimp rigidity is calculated from the readings obtained under the major and minor loads

Specially designed equipment to determine the twist per inch and per cm fordouble or multiple yarns.  Paramount Twist Tester i9™ (Double Yarn) is the appropriate equipment for the determination of twist of a multiple yarn. It has a set of clamps, one of which is rotating and the other is fixed. The rotating clamp is driven by hand. Specially designed a five-digit Re-settable revolution counter to count the number of twists, the fixed clamp is mounted on a jewel bearing with a lever having a sliding weight to give the desired tension to the yarn. A special scale is attached vertically on the clamp stand for measuring the tension on the yarn. The fixed clamp assembly can be moved over a guide bar for setting the required test length of yarn. The test length is indicated on a calibrated strip scale fixed to the base against a pointer attached with the moving assembly. A magnifying glass is provided to check the opening of the twists in the yarn during untwisting process.

digiTWIST i2TM (Electronic Programmable Digital Twist Tester) digiTWIST i2TM consists of a fixed base on which the main scale is provided to set the length of the specimen yarn. A panel board is mounted on the right hand side of the base to control and perform all operations of the instrument. On the left hand side of the base, the tensioning device is provided to hold the yarn. This tensioning device is mounted on a moving carriage having stationery yarn gripper Jaw, elongation scale, tension (elongation relief ) stoppers and a tension weight pan. The moving carriage can be adjusted up to 20 inches50 cms to set the length of the specimen yarn. A Carriage knob is provided on the moving carriage to lock it at any required gauge length. The rotating jaw (gripper) is mounted on left hand side of the control unit which is directly coupled with a high procession DC motor. A spring loaded jaw is provided in the rotating jaw to hold the specimen yarn.

Clamp the yarn in the clamp fixed on the motor shaft. A guide is provided on the clamp for easy clamping. Pull the other end of yarn through the clamp on the moving crosshead had while clamping ensure that yarn is clamped for proper test length and yarn is free and under correct tension of weight. This is necessary to have uniform length of yarn between the clams under fixed tension to get proper repeatability of the results. Select SZ switch in S or Z position depending upon type of yarn. Put the main switch ON and press the ‘RESET’ push button to ensure zero reading on the digital display unit. Select the motor speed to high speed position. Select ‘NORMAL’ position for initial operation. Start the motor using ‘START STOP’ switch. The motor will now start untwisting the yarn and DIGITAL DISPLAY will start counting. After reaching approx. 90% of expected TPM reading, it is recommended to lower the motor speed to minimum possible to get better results. By using ‘ADJ knob’ the motor can be run in very slow to moderate slow speed, or if motor stops completely test can be run manually by pushing motor shaft by hand.The instrument carries a guarantee for 12 month for free repairs against any manufacturing defects. However this guarantee is void in case of any physical damage or attempted repairs at customer’s end. The instrument is required to be sent to our works at customer’s expenses for claiming warranty services.
