It can also be used to measure color transfer from printed or coated material during rubbing. It measures rub of printed paper, printed layer, carton package & board by applied contract pressure. Rub proofness It evaluates the extent of color transfer from printed or coated material due to rubbing-a condition which handling and shipment of packaged goods. The Rub profness tester consistes of two discs Pressure between the disc being determined by a dead load applied to the upper disc both rotate the same speed. Two contact disc rotate in contact at a same angular speed,giving constant relative velocity all points of the disc. Rubbing with standard dead weight (LBS) for ink inmpression, reliable and accurate results.
