These mixed fluids at low velocity enter the diffuser, which is so shaped that it gradually converts's the velocity energy to pressure energy and discharges them to a pressure higher than suction pressure but lower than initial motivating fluid pressure.High pressure motivating fluid is converted to high velocity. High velocity fluid entrains and transfers part of its momentum to the induced fluid.

The plant had been derated by approximately 10 MW because of poor air removal from its steam-turbine condenser. Mazda studied the problem and concluded that condenser Vacuum could be improved by at least 15mm Hg using its model no. CR Series 200S.

Ejector — These jet mixing eductors are placed in a vessel and fed by a recirculation line. The recirculated liquid sucks in surrounding liquid from the vessel, mixes with it, and is ejected. The ejected liquid promotes futher mixing by forming a swirling flow inside the vessel.

The maximum vacuum which can be created by watering vacuum pump is limited to 93.3% with full closed suction i.e at zero capacity. In process, due to gas generation, the vacuum pump will never create 93.3% vacuum.
