Amino fluids form an integral part of the silicone formulation. With their unique structure that lends itself to various bonding possibilities, they can instill various functionalities in the silicone emulsion. Amino silicone fluids are noted for their excellent textile finishing properties, imbuing fibres & textiles with an in comparably soft, permanent handle. They owe this ability to the affirmity of the amino groups to the fibres, which promotes optimum orientation of the silicones on the substrate, thus guaranteeing an ideal soft handle. Amino silicone softners, those bearing amino ethyl and amino propyl groups have yielded the best results. The amino groups are linked to the polymer by short Hydrocarbon chains & are against the Hydrolysis & high Temperature. Amino silicone fluids are generally characterised in terms of amine value, viscocity & reactivity. McCoy DM Silicone Fluid is industrial grade silicone fluid. it is clear, low characteristic odor Dimethyl polysiloxane fluids. These fluids are manufactured in the viscosity range from 10 cps to 1000 k cps. In chemical structure Dimethyl silicone fluids are quite different from other fluids having a backbone of silicon‐oxygen linkage. The advantage of this is a linkage much stronger than a typical carbon‐carbon chain and is more resistant to attack by temperature extremes, oxidation, shear stresses and chemicals than other similar organic fluids and also show good dielectric properties. McCoy DM Silicone fluids are soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents and low molecular weight aromatic solvents. They have limited solubility in alcohols, ethers, acetone and glycols (Solubility here depending on viscosity)
