Products Applications Infant Formulas: An ingredient in Infant formulas usually prepared for bottle-feeding or cup feeding from powder (mixed with water) or liquid (with or without additional water). Processed and Imitation Cheese: It is produced by coagulation of casein. Typically, the milk is acidified with the casein and then coagulated by the addition of rennet, containing a proteolytic enzyme, typically obtained from the stomachs of calves. Nutritional Food: Casein holds a high nutritional value. There are 20 amino acids that your body needs for growth and metabolism. Nine of these amino acids are termed “essential” because your body cannot synthesize them. Casein protein contains all of these essential amino acids. Milk Casein, Milk

caseinate is a protein produced from casein in skim and sometimes 1% milk. At neutral or acid pH, casein is relatively insoluble in water, and is easily separated from other milk proteins, sugars and minerals. Its main food uses are for powders requiring rapid dispersion into water, such as coffee creamers & instant cream soups.

Casein is produced by controlled acidification of pure, pasteurized skim milk resulting in the precipitation of casein curd. The curd is washed to remove other milk solids prior to drying & grinding.
