GRE Cast Iron T-Slotted Floor Plates are used in heavy engineering industries as rigid bases for layout, marking, inspection, assembly work, large fixtures, special tooling and production set ups, as also for mounting jobs for precision welding or for carrying out machining operations like drilling, boring etc. and also as test beds for mounting engines, large machines, transmission or other industrial equipment. Individual plates are manufactured to standards laid out as per IS 10602 with required squareness and with 90 deg. Face matching on all. Squareness and 90 deg face matching is ensured by CI pads provided on all sides of the casting and machined and hand scraped to achieve squareness that when two plates are matched and bolted you obtain top side flatness comparatively closer and with hand scrping done the flatness will be matched. Cast Iron Surface Plates are manufactured to specifications laid down in IS 2285 / DIN 876 or respective standards where products are exported. They are made from close grained Grey Iron Castings to IS 210 : FG 220. They are machined and finally hand scraped to achieve the overall flatness and also flatness within a specified area, as per standards. The sizes to which these are manufactured are 450 x 450 mm to 5000 x 2500 mm as individual plates and for achieving larger sizes more than one piece of the above sizes are used. For example to achieve a plate size of 5000 x 5000 mm we layout 2 plates of 5000 x 2500 mm and do the final erection at the customer's site.
