Features: GRE cast iron hand scraped surface plate confirms to IS 2285:2013, DIN876. These plates are manufactured in various sizes & grades to suit customers exact requirements. Grade 1 being Precision hand scraped and grade 2 accurately finish machined to tolerance. GRE CI Cast Iron Surface Plate to IS 2285 in general of size from 500x500 to 3000 x 1500 mm , Casting used shall be IS 210 FG 200-220 duly stress relieved with hardness 170-200 BHN and machined as well as hand scrapped to tolerance of grade as per IS 2285:2013. The plate will be supplied in fully hand scraped or machined condition to be within tolerance. The plate will have suspending points under the Casting for mounting on the leveling screws provided over the CI Floor Stands and also on MS fabricated stand. GRE surface plates are provided with top protection cover. Plate’s up to 630X630 mm are provided with handles. Sizes over 1000x1000 mm can be provided with lifting arrangements.

Gmt cast iron surface plates are the products of years of manufacturing experience. these plates are of close-grained cast iron.they are amply ribbed to minimize deflection under load.the composition of the metal,the depth and cross-section of the ribs and the thickness of the plate are designed to conform to the deflection limits specified in is-2285-1991. gmt surface plates are manufactured to three grades namely grade 0,grade-i & grade-ii,as per the standard stated above. grade"0" & grade-i plates are artificially seasoned.they are hand scraped to achieve maximum local deviation from flatness as per standard at any point on the working surface.a special scrapping technique is used to achieve a uniform distribution of load bearing point and oil pockets.an average of 15-20 load bearing points after finish scraping is standard.this finished scraping technique ensures that the area of the load bearing points increases after the initial dulling of the high points.this guarantees a long working life,at the required accuracies.grade-ii plates are accurately machined to get the requisite flatness.
