Elstein SHTS super high temperature heaters were developed to increase the previous maximum possible surface rating of ceramic panel heaters from 64 kW/ m² to 77 kW/ m².The SHTS heaters, produced using the hollow casting ceramic process, are filled with thermal insulation material and have a special black glaze and a gold-plated back. At an operating temperature of 900 °C, over 75 % of the electrical energy supplied is transferred to the material to be heated as medium to long-wave IR radiation.Consideration :The power can be controlled by using thermocouple heaters with TRD temperature controllers, TSE thyristor switching units and other accessories.IR radiation panels can be assembled using REO reflectors, REF construction sets, EBI and EBF construction elements, BSI and BSH panels as well as mounting sheets MBO.The national safety regulations must be complied with for the respective application, for example, the IEC or EN standard 60519-1, Safety in electrical heating installations.Further information and safety instructions are mentioned in the mounting sheet, which is attached to each heater.

These heaters are made using a full-pour casting ceramic process and are characterized by their concave design. Due to the design of this type, there is a space between the heater and mounting plate, which reduces the heat absorbed by the wiring space. MAX Ceramic infrared heaters are manufactured with three basic emitter faces: Concave, Flat and Convex. The concave surface will emit a "concentrated" radiant pattern which is highly effective when zone heating is desired as well as radiant heating in general. Flat surface emitters will produce a "i.rnitorm" pattern for even heating al a close proximity between the emitter and the target being heated. Finally the convex shaped emitter gives off a "wide area" pattern which is desirable in comfort heating or other applications that requires a dispersed radiant emission pattern.
