The assembly works on the principle of adhesion between concrete and chemical (resin) thus eliminating any effects of expansion forces. Chemical anchors are highly suitable in applications requiring close edge and spacing distances. Also these are a preferred choice in wet conditions as well underwater applications. Chemical Anchor will hold heavy loads that must be fixed close to the edge without creating any internal pressure. 4)Post-Installed Rebar: Post-installed rebar is an application that can only be completed using Chemical Anchor.   How to Install : 1)For the specified anchor size, select carbide or core drill bit with nominal diameter as listed below in Table. 2)Drill hole to depth listed below. 3)Essentially clean holes with brush and blower. 4)Remove debris with hole cleaning pump, compressed air or with a brush. 5)If the holes are wet or flooded, clean hole with brush. 6)Insert Capsule into hole. 7)Spin in Welfast Stud as per required anchorage depth using a rotary hammer drill. 8)Allow adhesive to cure for the time as listed below. 9)When cured, tighten nut applying the necessary tightening torque.   Technical Descriptions Suitable for : Concrete Dense Natural Stone

By using the application gun the two components are mixed and activated in the static mixer.Partially used cartridges can be reused, simply by changing the static mixer.The mortar bonds the entire surface of the anchor rod to the wall of the drilled hole and largely seals the hole.

Ideally suited for high load applications, in virtually all cases the resulting bond is stronger than the base material itself and as the system is based on chemical adhesion, no load stress is imparted to the base material as with expansion type anchors and are therefore ideal for close to edge fixing, reduced centre and group anchoring and use in concrete of unknown quality or low compressive strength. Although there are many differing variations and delivery systems in the market, all systems operate using the same basic principle with the base resin, requiring the introduction, by mixing, of a second component to begin the chemical curing process, hence the term chemical anchor.
