Delta's Composite V-A-W Meters, for the last 15 years, have been acclaimed as the most successful electrical testing equipment in India. Their number in thousands in the field for umpteen types of different applications speak for itself. Now two new features have been added with dual microcontrollers at the heart Line Frequency and PFA push-button on the front dial changes the display from V-A-W to PF-Hz-W Optically Isolated RS-232 InterfaceA galvanically isolated RS-232 port is provided to communicate with a PC; the PC displays/stores the captured parameters   Accuracy : Class:0.5 (for V,A,W), Class:0.1 for Hz, Class:1.0 for PF (due to computation limits of u,c ; this error becomes less than Class:0.5 on the PC Screen) Frequency Response : 10Hz-10kHz (all displays) PF Range : 0.1 (LAG) -1.0 - 0.1 (lead) Connections : 1. Aux. supply by barrier terminals on the rear2. Load supply/load terminal of 4mm 0 - 15A rating on the front dial (rear connections only against specific request)   a) When using DT-2000(232), if frequent heavy starting surge currents are encountered, the use of external CT operated models, for more reliable operations, is suggestedb) For custom-built models, send enquiries with your specific requirements Protection The aux. supply to the instrument is protected by a surge-suppressor against line surges. However inductive loads such as a contractor-coil, heavy-duty transformers, etc. should not be connected across the same supply. The voltage sensing circuit is protected by a heavy-duty metal-oxide varistor of 500V rating connected across the load terminals. Hence the load supply should not exceed 500VAC. The current sensing shunt is protected by a replaceable glass-cartridge fuse on the rear of the instrument. This glass cartridge fuse should not be replaced by fuse of higher ratings or wire shorts.
