Both halves of the cage are coupled to be able to resist dynamic forces, which the cage is exposed to during the operation. Both halves of the inner ring are placed on the shaft with the help of belting rings, equipped with a threaded joint, provided with an arresting mechanism. The splitting joint between the halves of the outer ring can be perpendicular to the front of the ring. On the other hand, the plane of separation of the inner ring is designed as inclined at an angle, so that no impacts occur during rolling of the roller elements in the loaded zone on the edge of the plane of separation. Crossed roller bearings are bearings for precision applications that correspond in their dimensions to ISO dimension series 18 in accordance with DIN 616. They comprise outer rings, inner rings, rolling elements and plastic spacers. The outer ring is split and is held together by three retaining rings. Crossed roller bearings have the rollers placed axially perpendicular to each other alternately and therefore are called crossed roller bearings. The rollers are sparated by disc shaped spacers instead of a traditional retaining cage. Either the inner ring or the outer ring is split and held together by retaining rings and the corresponding outer ring or inner ring is one piece. These bearings are therefore separable.
